Saint Paul’s apostolic career among the Gentiles can be seen as part of the fulfillment of Our Lord’s prophecy to the unbelieving Jews: “The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof”. For this reason the Church has rightly given Saint Paul’s Epistle to the Romans the pride of place.
